- Ensure projector or whiteboard is set up and working.
- Have markers, flip charts/large paper, and index cards readily available.
Step 1
Introduction & Hook: Why Give Back This Fall?
15 minutes
- Greet participants and introduce the lesson: "How Can We Give Back This Fall?"
- Use the Autumn Acts of Kindness Slide Deck to present a captivating visual and introduce the concept of community service during the fall season.
- Ask: "What does 'community' mean to you?" and "Why is it important to help others, especially during this time of year?" (Allow for brief sharing).
- Explain the lesson's objective: to plan a fall-themed community service project.

Brainstorming Community Needs
45 minutes
- Transition to identifying local needs using the Brainstorming Community Needs Discussion Guide.
