Lesson Plan

First Day Orientation

Students will build connections through name-sharing and an icebreaker activity, learn classroom expectations and routines, and reflect on their first-day experience. They will practice English communication and feel welcomed and prepared for the school year.

Starting the year with structured community-building and clear procedures helps ELL students feel safe, supported, and ready to engage. Establishing expectations and routines early promotes confidence, language practice, and a positive learning environment.
