Match rhythms to emotions

Step 2

Harmony Hop Activity

10 minutes

  • Explain the rules of the 'Harmony Hop' activity: students will listen to a rhythm and move in a way that they think matches the emotion of the rhythm.
  • Play an audio clip and give students time to move around the space, expressing the emotion they feel from the rhythm.
  • Repeat with different rhythms, encouraging students to explore various movements.
