Growth Mindset

This lesson introduces students to the concept of a growth mindset through a simple and engaging activity. Students will learn how their brains can grow and change with effort and practice. This lesson is important as it encourages students to embrace challenges and view mistakes as opportunities for learning, fostering resilience and a love for learning.

Step 1

Introduction

2 minutes

Step 2

Activity: Growth Mindset Drawing

5 minutes

  • Hand out paper and crayons/markers to each student.
  • Ask students to draw a picture of something they want to get better at (e.g., playing a sport, reading, drawing).
  • Encourage them to think about how they can improve with practice and effort.
