Goal Setting Adventure

Help members set goals for the new year

In this lesson, young learners will embark on a 'Goal Setting Adventure' where they will learn the basics of setting simple, achievable goals for the new year. Introduction

  • Gather the children in a circle.

  • Ask if anyone knows what a goal is and encourage a few responses.

Reading: Goal Setting Story

4 minutes

  • Read the 'Goal Setting Story' aloud to the children.
  • The story should introduce a character who sets a simple goal and works towards achieving it.
  • Encourage children to listen carefully as they will discuss the story afterward.

Discussion: What is a Goal?

  • Use the 'Goal Setting Discussion' questions to guide a conversation about the story.
