Goal-Setting Adventure

Build confidence in goal-setting

In this lesson, students will engage in a fun and interactive adventure to learn about setting and achieving goals. Through arts and crafts, games, and active participation, they will build confidence in their ability to accomplish tasks. This lesson is important as it helps young learners develop essential skills for personal growth and success.

Step 1

Introduction

10 mins

Begin with a brief discussion on what goals are and why they are important.
Ask students to share a goal they have achieved in the past.

Step 2

Craft Activity

15 mins

Provide each student with construction paper, markers, scissors, and glue.
Instruct them to create a 'Goal Tree' where each leaf represents a goal they want to achieve.
Encourage creativity and personal expression.

Step 3

Game-Based Learning

20 mins

Organize a simple obstacle course or relay race.
Explain that each part of the course represents a step towards achieving a goal.
Discuss how breaking down goals into smaller steps can make them more manageable.

Step 4

Worksheet Completion

10 mins

Distribute the Goal-Setting Worksheet.
Guide students through filling it out, focusing on setting a specific, achievable goal.

Step 5

Quiz and Reflection

5 mins

Hand out the Goal-Setting Quiz.
Allow students to complete it individually.
Conclude with a reflection on what they learned and how they can apply it to their lives.
