  • Guide the client through the Vision Warm-Up:
    • Ask them to close their eyes and imagine their ideal future self in one year.
    • Prompt sensory details: sights, sounds, emotions.
  • Invite the client to share a brief description of their vision.

Step 2

Future Self Dialogue

10 minutes

  • Introduce the Future Self Dialogue discussion:
    • Pose questions about strengths, values, and barriers identified by their future self.
  • Use active listening and reflective questioning to deepen insight.
  • Summarize key themes for later mapping.

Step 3

Biopsychosocial Interview Activity

15 minutes

  • Present the Biopsychosocial Goal Map worksheet.
  • Conduct a guided interview covering:
    • Biological factors (health, energy levels).
    • Psychological factors (beliefs, emotions).
    • Social factors (support, relationships).
  • As the client responds, record their inputs on the map.
  • Encourage honest self-reflection and note any emerging patterns.

  • Walk through each slide to:
    • Reinforce the client’s identified strengths and goals.

Purpose

Engage your future self to uncover strengths, values, and strategies for success.

Instructions

Take a moment to relax and imagine your future self one year from now. Then answer the following prompts as if you are writing directly with your future self.

  1. Visualize and describe your ideal future day: what you do, how you feel, who you are with.






  2. Ask your future self: “What is your most significant achievement in the past year?”

Warm Up

Vision Warm-Up

Purpose

Set a reflective, focused mindset through guided imagery to prime visualization of the ideal future self.

Instructions

  1. Invite the client to sit comfortably in a quiet space and close their eyes.
  2. Guide them to take three slow, deep breaths, noticing the rise and fall of their chest.
  3. Prompt them to imagine a moment one year from today when they feel truly accomplished:
    • What are they seeing around them?
    • What sounds or smells do they notice?
    • How do they feel in their body and mind?
  4. Allow 2 minutes of silent reflection for the client to immerse in their future scene.
  5. Ask the client to gently open their eyes and share one vivid detail or feeling from their vision.
