Lesson Plan

Feelings Detective Plan

Students will learn to identify and label five basic emotions—happiness, sadness, anger, fear, and surprise—in themselves and others, practice empathy by interpreting emotional cues, and reflect on personal feelings through discussion and journaling.

Building emotional literacy and empathy helps students manage their feelings, improve peer relationships, and develop social skills critical for classroom success and well-being.
