Step 1

Introduction

5 mins

  • Begin with a warm welcome and explain that today, we'll be learning about different feelings and how to manage them.
  • Show visual aids with different faces expressing various emotions (happy, sad, angry, scared).

Step 2

Interactive Activity

10 mins

  • Distribute emotion faces visual aids to each student.
  • Ask the students to identify the emotions on the cards.
  • Engage in a discussion about what might cause those feelings (e.g., "What makes you happy?").

Step 3

Discussion on Coping Strategies

10 mins

  • Talk about different ways to cope with each emotion (e.g., deep breathing for anger, talking to a friend when sad).
  • Allow students to share their own ways of dealing with emotions.

Step 4

Hands-On Activity

5 mins

  • Provide blank emotion cards and markers/crayons.
  • Encourage students to create their own emotion cards, drawing faces and labeling the emotions.
  • Walk around and assist students as needed.
