  • Watch The Feelings Song Video to familiarize yourself with how emotions are introduced.
  • Prepare printed copies of the Emotion Identification Activity Sheet and Feelings Matching Game Cards if available in digital format.
  • Ensure the Slide Deck on Emotions is accessible and ready to display.

  • Greet students and briefly discuss different feelings (happy, sad, angry, calm).
  • Introduce the concept of emotional regulation and why it’s important in a simple language.

Video Viewing (7 minutes)

  • Show The Feelings Song Video to visually engage students in recognizing emotions.
  • Pause occasionally to ask students what emotions they notice.

Step 3

Emotion Identification Activity (8 minutes)

8 minutes

  • Hand out the Emotion Identification Activity Sheet.
  • Guide students through a simple activity where they match faces to feelings using the provided visuals.
  • Encourage discussion about times they might feel each emotion.

Step 4

Feelings Matching Game (7 minutes)

7 minutes

  • Organize an interactive game using Feelings Matching Game Cards.
  • Have students work in pairs or small groups to match emotion cards with calming strategies (e.g., deep breathing for anger).
  • Reinforce the idea that it's okay to feel any emotion and there are tools to help calm down.
