Exploring Emotions

Recognize and express basic emotions

This lesson helps preschool students recognize and express basic emotions through interactive activities. By using emotion cards and simple discussions, students will learn to identify feelings like happiness, sadness, and anger, and practice expressing them in healthy ways.   • Distribute the Simple Emotion Faces Worksheet.
  • Guide the children to color the faces that match the emotions they feel today.
  • Discuss with them what makes them feel each emotion.

Step 4

Closure

3 minutes

  • Recap the emotions learned and ask the children to show their favorite emotion face.
  • Thank them for participating and remind them it's okay to feel different emotions.
