Step 1

Step 2

Empathy Scenarios Activity

25 minutes

  • Divide students into small groups and provide each group with a set of Empathy Scenarios Printable Cards.
  • Instruct each group to read their scenario and discuss how they would feel and respond empathetically.
  • Encourage students to think about different perspectives and share their thoughts with the group.
  • Rotate scenarios among groups to allow students to explore various situations.

Step 3

Group Discussion

  • Bring the class back together and ask each group to share one scenario and their empathetic response.
  • Facilitate a discussion on the different ways empathy can be expressed and its impact on others.

Step 4

Exit Ticket

5 minutes

  • Distribute the Exit Ticket to each student.
  • Ask students to write down one thing they learned about empathy and how they plan to practice it in their daily lives.
  • Collect the exit tickets as students leave the classroom.
