This lesson will teach kindergarten students about empathy and the importance of being kind to others through an engaging story, collaborative activities, and an art project. Step 1

Introduction

  • Facilitate a short discussion using prepared questions to help students reflect on the story and its themes.
  • Encourage students to share their thoughts on how they can show empathy and kindness in their own lives.

Step 4

Activity: Empathy Scenarios

  • Distribute scenario cards to small groups of students.
  • Explain that each group will act out their scenario and show how they would respond with empathy and kindness.

  • Gather students and ask groups to present their scenarios to the class, discussing different ways to show empathy.
