Lesson Plan

Forecasting Feelings Plan

Students will identify and label four core emotions—happiness, sadness, anger, and fear—by linking each to physical cues or thought patterns through a weather-themed role-play, card-sorting, and personal chart creation.

Building emotional self-awareness helps students manage impulses, communicate feelings clearly, and develop empathy. The weather metaphor makes emotions concrete and memorable.
