An interactive game to practice kindness, self-care, and appreciation in your classroom.

Welcome students and introduce today's lesson. Explain that bingo will help us learn positive habits that support emotional well-being. Mention the calming gradient backgrounds set a positive mood.

SEL Goal

Recognize and practice positive behaviors to boost mood and strengthen peer connections.

Highlight the Social-Emotional Learning goal for today. Emphasize self-awareness and relationship skills as key outcomes.

How to Play Bingo

• Complete five actions in a row (horizontal, vertical, or diagonal)
• Actions include kindness, self-care, and appreciation tasks
• Work with classmates or independently to fulfill each square
• Use markers to cover completed squares
• First to get BINGO shares their experience with the class

Read each rule aloud and clarify how students earn BINGO. Encourage them to ask questions before starting.

Bingo Card Highlights

Sample Squares:
• Gave a compliment to a peer (“I appreciate how you helped me today!”)
• Took three deep breaths to calm down
• Shared a positive note in someone’s journal
• Smiled and greeted a classmate

Show students examples of bingo actions. You can project a large sample card or distribute one for them to preview.

Mid-Game Reflection

Which action did you enjoy the most so far?
How did completing it make you feel?

Pause the game and ask students to reflect. You can have them share with a partner or jot down quick answers.

Exit Ticket

One positive habit I’ll practice this week:

Have students complete their exit ticket in journals or on slips. Collect or review digitally to assess understanding.
