Emotional Weather Report

Step 1

Introduction to Emotions

5 minutes

  • Show examples of weather symbols (sunny, rainy, windy) and discuss what emotions they might represent.

Step 2

Create Emotional Weather Reports

10 minutes

  • Distribute the printable weather symbol cards and crayons/markers to each student.
  • Instruct students to choose a weather symbol that represents how they feel today and color it.
  • Encourage them to think about why they chose that symbol and what it means to them.

Step 3

Share and Discuss

5 minutes

  • Invite students to share their weather reports with the class.
  • Use the discussion questions to guide a conversation about the different emotions represented and how they can change.
