Step 1

Storytelling

  • Read a selected storybook that focuses on emotions (e.g., "The Way I Feel" by Janan Cain).
  • Pause to discuss the emotions of the characters in the story.
  • Ask students how they would feel in similar situations.

Step 3

Role-Playing

10 mins

  • Divide students into small groups.
  • Hand out role-play scenarios that depict different emotional situations (e.g., feeling happy about a birthday party, feeling sad about a broken toy).
  • Allow each group to act out their scenario while the rest of the class identifies the emotions being expressed.

  • Gather students in a circle for a closing discussion.
