Lesson Plan

Emotion Explorers Lesson Plan

Students will identify and label four common emotions—happy, sad, angry, and scared—and practice at least two simple coping strategies to manage big feelings.

Understanding and naming emotions builds self-awareness, empathy, and emotional regulation. These foundational skills help first graders communicate feelings and support positive classroom climate.
