Lesson Plan

Emotion Explorers Lesson Plan

Students will identify four basic emotions (happy, sad, angry, scared) and practice one calm-down strategy, enabling them to recognize feelings in themselves and others and apply a coping skill.

Developing social-emotional skills helps first graders self-regulate, communicate feelings appropriately, and build positive peer relationships, laying the groundwork for academic and social success.
