Emotion Exploration Adventure

Identify and express emotions

This lesson takes students on an engaging journey through the world of emotions, where they will learn to identify and mimic different feelings using facial expressions and body language. Step 1

Introduction to Emotions

5 mins

Begin by asking students if they know what emotions are.
Explain that emotions are feelings we have inside, like happy, sad, angry, or surprised.
Show them a few emotion cards and ask them to guess the emotion.

Step 2

Emotion Mimic Game

10 mins

Hand out mirrors to each student.
Show an emotion card and ask students to mimic the emotion using their face and body.
Encourage them to look in the mirror to see their expressions.
Repeat with different emotions.

Step 3

Emotion Matching Game

10 mins

Distribute the printable emotion cards to each student.
Explain the rules of the matching game: match the emotion word with the correct facial expression card.
Allow students to work in pairs or small groups to complete the game.
Discuss the matches as a class to reinforce learning.

Ask students to draw faces that show different emotions.
