Lesson Plan

Detective Emotions Plan

Students will learn to identify and interpret emotions through facial expressions and body language by acting as “emotion detectives,” engaging in slides, partner activities, a guessing game, and a reflection sketch.

Recognizing nonverbal cues builds empathy, social awareness, and stronger peer connections. Early practice in reading emotions supports positive interactions and helps students understand their own and others’ feelings.
