Identify emotions with prompts

In this one-on-one session, the student will engage in a personalized activity to identify emotions using visual and verbal prompts. This lesson is important as it helps the student develop social awareness and emotional intelligence, which are crucial for effective communication and relationship-building.

Step 1

Emotion Card Activity

Present emotion cards to the student.
Explain the activity: The student will pick a card and act out the emotion while you guess.
Encourage the student to use verbal prompts if needed to help you guess the emotion.

Step 3

Worksheet Activity

5 mins

Provide the student with the Emotion Identification Worksheet.
Ask the student to match emotions with corresponding facial expressions and write down the emotion name.

Review the emotions covered in the session with the student.
Ask the student to share one new thing they learned about emotions today.
