Lesson Plan

Detective Briefing

Students assume the role of detectives to read short scenarios, identify emotions based on contextual clues, and articulate their reasoning in a small group. Actionable goals: recognize basic emotions, cite evidence, and build empathy through discussion and role-play.

This lesson builds social awareness and empathy by helping students recognize and articulate emotions in real-life contexts. Strengthening emotional vocabulary and perspective-taking supports positive peer interactions and self-regulation.
