Career Interest Inventory

In this lesson, students will explore different careers and identify their interests through a guided discussion and a hands-on worksheet activity. Step 1

Introduction

  • Write the word 'Career' on the whiteboard and ask students what they think it means.

Step 2

Guided Discussion

10 mins

  • Use the provided discussion questions to guide a conversation about different types of careers.
  • Encourage students to share what they know about various jobs and what interests them.
  • Make sure to include examples of careers that might be less familiar to them.
  • Provide ESL support by using visual aids and simple language.

Step 3

Career Interest Worksheet

10 mins

  • Hand out the Career Interest Worksheet to each student.
  • Explain the instructions clearly, using visual aids if necessary.
  • Allow students to work individually or in pairs to complete the worksheet.
