Develop creative writing skills

In this lesson, leaders will engage in a creative writing challenge where they will craft their own short stories or poems. This session includes peer review to foster feedback skills. This activity helps students enhance their creative thinking, writing abilities, and peer-review skills.

  • Distribute the 'Brainstorming Worksheet' attachment.
  • Allow students to brainstorm ideas for their short stories or poems using the worksheet.
  • Encourage them to think about characters, settings, and plot ideas.

Writing Session

  • Instruct students to start writing their short stories or poems based on their brainstormed ideas.
  • Provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Remind them to focus on creativity and expression.

Peer Review

  • Pair students and have them exchange their written pieces for peer review.
