Step 1

Introduction

  • Gather students in a circle and introduce the activity: creating a large, colorful collage.
  • Discuss what a collage is and show examples if available.
  • Explain the importance of teamwork and creativity in this project.

Step 2

Planning the Collage

10 mins

  • Divide students into small groups.
  • Provide each group with a large sheet of paper and markers.
  • Ask groups to brainstorm and sketch a plan for their collage, deciding on a theme or idea.

Step 3

Creating the Collage

30 mins

  • Distribute materials: colored paper, glue sticks, scissors, and markers.
  • Encourage students to work together to cut, arrange, and glue pieces onto their large sheet.
  • Walk around to assist and encourage collaboration and creativity.

Step 4

Gallery Walk

5 mins

  • Once collages are complete, have a gallery walk where each group presents their collage.
  • Encourage students to share what they enjoyed about the process and what their collage represents.

Step 5

Closure

5 mins

  • Gather students back in a circle.
  • Reflect on the activity: What did they learn about working together? What was their favorite part?
  • Thank students for their participation and creativity.
