Step 1

Introduction

10 mins

  • Welcome the students and briefly explain that today they will be working on a fun and colorful art project.
  • Discuss the importance of creativity and how art helps express our feelings and ideas.
  • Show examples of colorful art and ask students what colors and materials they like to use.

Step 2

Art Project Creation

40 mins

  • Hand out construction paper and various coloring tools (markers, crayons, colored pencils) to each student.
  • Provide safety scissors, glue sticks, glitter, and stickers for additional decoration.
  • Give each student the printable art project instruction sheet.
  • Encourage students to be as creative as they want, offering assistance as needed.
  • Walk around the room, provide positive feedback, and ask students to explain their art as they work.

Step 3

Closing Discussion

  • Ask students to share their art with the class and describe what they created.
  • Discuss how they felt while making their art and what they enjoyed the most.
  • Reinforce the idea that everyone's art is unique and special, and praise their creativity.
  • Collect the artwork if they wish to display it, or allow them to take it home.
