Exploring Key Insights (15 minutes - choose relevant prompts based on student's journal/comfort)

Teacher: "Let's touch on a few areas. Looking at your core values, you mentioned [student's mentioned value, e.g., 'honesty' or 'family']. Can you tell me a little more about why that particular value resonates so strongly with you?"

Teacher: "You identified [student's mentioned strength, e.g., 'creativity' or 'problem-solving'] as one of your strengths. How do you see that strength playing a role in your life after high school?"

Teacher: "And for an area of growth, you noted [student's mentioned area of growth, e.g., 'public speaking' or 'time management']. What made you choose that particular area, and what's one small step you might take to work on it?"

Teacher: "Moving to the future, you imagined [student's future vision, e.g., 'working in a design studio' or 'attending college']. What excites you most about that vision?"

Teacher: "You also listed some short-term and long-term goals. For your short-term goal of [student's short-term goal], what's one immediate action you can think of to start working towards it?"

Wrap-Up & Encouragement (5 minutes)

Teacher: "Thank you for sharing your thoughts and reflections. Remember, self-awareness is a powerful tool. This journal isn't a rigid plan, but a starting point, a 'compass' to help guide you.

Keep this journal as a reference. You might find it helpful to revisit these thoughts as you navigate new experiences. I'm here to support you as you move forward. Do you have any final questions or thoughts you'd like to share?"
