Lesson Plan

CBT Detective Lesson Plan

Students will learn to identify and track how their thoughts influence feelings and behaviors by completing a thought–feeling–behavior chart and detective worksheet, building skills for self-awareness and emotional regulation.

This lesson helps an 8th grade student with autism understand the CBT core principle that thoughts shape emotions and actions, empowering her to self-regulate and recognize patterns independently.
