Step 1

Introduction to Community Care

  • Begin with a brief discussion on what community care means.
  • Ask students if they have ever helped someone in need and how it made them feel.
  • Explain that today they will create crafts to bring joy to others in the community.

Step 2

Crafting Activity

35 mins

  • Distribute the crafting materials and worksheets.
  • Guide students to create more detailed and thoughtful crafts using the materials provided.
  • Encourage them to think about the people who will receive their crafts and what might make them happy.

Step 3

Reflection and Sharing

15 mins

  • Gather students in a circle to share their crafts and the thoughts behind them.
  • Use the discussion guide to facilitate a deeper conversation about how it feels to give to others and why it's important.
  • Collect the crafts to be prepared for donation.
