Cool Down

Problem Solving Reflection

This cool-down activity provides students with an opportunity to reflect on their group problem-solving experience and internalize the teamwork skills they practiced. Through guided prompts, students will explore what went well, identify areas for improvement, and consider how they can apply these abilities in other group scenarios.

Reflection Prompts

  1. What was one challenge your group faced, and how did you work together to overcome it?

  2. How did listening to your teammates help you solve the problem?

  3. What role did you enjoy playing the most, and why?

  4. Can you think of a time outside of class where teamwork helped you succeed?

Discussion Guidelines

  • Take a few minutes to write down your thoughts for each prompt on your reflection sheet.

  • Once you finish writing, share one of your responses with a partner or small group.

  • As a class, discuss common themes and insights that emerged during your reflections. What did you learn about effective communication and working together?

Closure

  • Summarize how reflecting on these experiences can help you in future group activities in both school and everyday situations.

  • Keep your reflection sheets, as they will be a reminder of the importance of teamwork and effective problem-solving.

Thank you for taking the time to reflect on your growth and teamwork skills!
