Lesson Plan

Session 1 Plan

Students will establish group norms grounded in their cultural values (respeto, confianza), define anger using examples from their communities, and complete a bilingual self-assessment to build trust and awareness.

Using familiar cultural references, role models, and bilingual supports helps African American and Latino boys feel seen, valued, and connected, fostering deeper engagement in anger management skills.
