Calm Crew Toolbox Lesson Plan
Students will learn and practice three self-regulation strategies—deep breathing, grounding techniques, and movement breaks—to recognize big emotions and use a personalized “Calm Crew Toolbox” to manage stress and refocus.
Building self-regulation skills in 2nd graders helps them cope with strong feelings, enhances classroom focus, and supports social-emotional development, leading to a positive learning environment.
