Lesson Plan
Calm Corner Setup Plan
Students will collaboratively plan and design a personalized Calm Corner using trauma-informed strategies to support self-regulation and emotional resilience. By the end of the lesson, each student will contribute to the setup plan, engage in a hands-on design workshop, and practice a guided visualization in their new space.
This lesson helps 5th graders develop coping skills and emotional awareness by creating a dedicated Calm Corner. Small-group collaboration builds supportive peer connections while trauma-informed practices foster safety and resilience.
