Game
Bullying Busters Challenge
Welcome to the Bullying Busters Challenge! This game is designed to be a fun and interactive way to apply everything you've learned about identifying and preventing bullying. You will work in teams, putting your critical thinking skills to the test as you analyze various bullying scenarios.
How to Play
-
Team Formation:
Form teams of 3-5 students. Each team will work together to discuss the given scenarios and decide on the best response(s). -
Scenario Rounds:
Each round presents a scenario depicting a bullying situation. The scenarios may include subtle examples of bullying as well as more obvious cases. Your task is to:- Identify whether the behavior in the scenario qualifies as bullying.
- Determine the most effective response: either a proactive step to prevent further bullying or a supportive measure for the affected individual.
- Explain your reasoning briefly.
A moderator (or instructor) will read each scenario aloud from cards provided or a digital display.
-
Point System:
For each scenario:- Teams earn 1 point for correctly identifying bullying behaviors.
- Additional points are awarded for the most effective and well-explained response.
- If a team selects a response that the instructor deems less helpful or incorrect, constructive feedback will be provided immediately.
-
Discussion:
After each scenario, the instructor will lead a brief discussion to reinforce the learning points, share expert strategies, and answer any questions that arise. -
Winning:
At the end of the game, the team with the highest score wins! However, the main goal is to learn and discuss the best practices for preventing bullying, so all participation will be celebrated.
