Mindful Movement Cards
Welcome to the Mindful Movement station! Choose a card (or pick from the list below) and gently follow the instructions. Focus on your body and your breath. The goal is to feel calm and present.
Card 1: Mountain Breath
- Stand tall with your feet hip-width apart, arms relaxed at your sides.
- As you inhale, slowly raise your arms out to the sides and up over your head, imagining you are a tall mountain reaching for the sky.
- As you exhale, slowly lower your arms back down to your sides.
- Repeat 3-5 times, focusing on the slow, steady movement and your breath.
Card 2: Shoulder Rolls
- Sit or stand comfortably with your spine long.
- Gently roll your shoulders up towards your ears, then back and down.
- Feel the tension release as you roll them.
- Repeat 5 times in one direction, then 5 times in the opposite direction.
Card 3: Starfish Stretch
- Stand with your feet wide apart and your arms stretched out to your sides, like a starfish.
- Take a deep breath in, feeling your body expand.
- As you exhale, slowly bend to one side, reaching one hand towards your foot while the other arm reaches overhead.
- Inhale back to center, then exhale and stretch to the other side.
- Repeat 2-3 times on each side.
Card 4: Mindful Breathing Anchor
- Sit comfortably with your feet flat on the floor.
- Place one hand on your belly.
- Take a deep breath in through your nose, feeling your belly rise.
- Exhale slowly through your mouth, feeling your belly fall.
- Focus only on the sensation of your breath moving in and out of your body.
- Continue for 1-2 minutes, if comfortable.
Card 5: Neck Release
- Gently drop your right ear towards your right shoulder, feeling a stretch on the left side of your neck.
- Hold for a few breaths.
- Slowly bring your head back to the center.
- Repeat on the other side, dropping your left ear towards your left shoulder.
- You can also gently roll your head from side to side in a half-circle motion, avoiding rolling your head all the way back.

Prompt 1: The Mysterious Object
You find a peculiar, smooth stone glowing faintly under your desk. It feels warm to the touch and hums with a soft vibration. What is it? Where did it come from? What happens when you pick it up?
Prompt 2: A Day in the Life of a...
Imagine you wake up one morning as an animal or an inanimate object in your home (e.g., your cat, a houseplant, your backpack, a remote control). Describe your day from its perspective. What do you see, hear, feel, and think?
