Step 1

Introduction

5 mins

  • Explain what a body scan meditation is: a way to bring awareness to different parts of the body, helping to release tension and calm the mind.
  • Discuss the benefits of mindfulness and how it can help with focus and relaxation.
  • Set expectations: everyone should find a comfortable seat, close their eyes if they wish, and focus on their breathing.

Step 2

Guided Meditation

  • Lead students through a body scan meditation:
    • Start by taking deep breaths.
    • Gradually focus on different parts of the body, from toes to head.
    • Encourage students to notice any sensations without judgment and relax each part of the body.
