Bendy Bodies!

What does it mean to be 'bendy'?
Why is it important for our bodies to be bendy?

What is Flexibility?

Flexibility is how much your body parts can bend and stretch.
It helps you move freely and easily!

Explain that flexibility is how much our bodies can bend and stretch. Give examples like touching toes or reaching high.

Why Do We Stretch?

Stretching helps:

  • Keep your muscles happy and healthy!
  • Prevent your body from getting hurt.
  • Make you feel calm and relaxed.
  • Let you move and play better!

Discuss why stretching helps. Mention preventing injuries during play, feeling relaxed, and moving better.

Let's Get Flexible!

It's time to stretch our bodies!
Remember to stretch gently and listen to your body.
Never push or bounce too hard!

Introduce the idea of gentle stretching. Emphasize not pushing too hard and listening to their bodies.

Sky High Reach

Reach your arms up to the sky as tall as you can!
Now gently stretch one arm across your body.

Lead the class in a simple arm stretch, reaching for the sky and then gently across their body.

Toe Touch Challenge

Sit down, extend your legs, and try to touch your toes.
Keep your knees a little soft!

Guide them through a leg stretch, sitting down and reaching for their toes. Remind them to keep knees soft.

Animals Stretch Too!

Did you know many animals stretch their bodies?
How do you think a cat stretches? Or a dog?
