Improve classroom behavior

This lesson aims to improve classroom behavior through a game-based approach called Behavior Bingo. Students will earn bingo squares for displaying positive behaviors, providing an interactive way to reinforce good conduct. Step 1

Introduction

  • Explain how the game works: students will earn bingo squares for displaying specific positive behaviors throughout the activity.

Step 2

Activity

20 minutes

  • Distribute Bingo cards to each student along with markers or stickers.
  • Announce the specific positive behaviors that will earn them a bingo square (e.g., raising hand to speak, helping a classmate, staying on task).
  • As students display these behaviors, mark their bingo cards.
  • Encourage students to notice and acknowledge positive behaviors in their peers as well.

Reflection

  • Gather the students for a group discussion.
  • Ask them what positive behaviors they displayed during the game.
  • Discuss how it felt to be recognized for their good behavior and how the game helped them understand the importance of positive actions.
  • Encourage students to continue displaying positive behaviors in their everyday classroom activities.
