Introduction: What are 'Awesome Choices'?

5 minutes

  • Begin by displaying the first slide of Awesome Choices Visuals and asking students: "What do you think an 'awesome choice' is?"
    - Facilitate a brief discussion, encouraging students to share examples of positive behaviors they see at school or home.
    - Explain that awesome choices are actions that make themselves and others feel good and help everyone learn and grow.

Exploring Awesome Choices (Visuals & Discussion)

8 minutes

  • Advance through the Awesome Choices Visuals, discussing each positive choice presented (e.g., helping a friend, listening quietly, sharing, working hard).
    - For each visual, ask questions like: "How does this choice make you feel?" or "How does this choice help our classroom?"
    - Encourage students to connect these choices to their own experiences.

Step 3

Introducing the 'My Awesome Choices Chart'
