Autumn Leaf Yoga Adventure

Step 1

Introduction

2 minutes

  • Gather students in a circle on their yoga mats.
  • Briefly explain that they will be doing yoga inspired by autumn leaves.
  • Encourage them to imagine themselves as leaves swaying in the wind.

Step 2

Warm-Up

3 minutes

  • Lead students in gentle stretching exercises.
  • Encourage them to reach up high like a tall tree and then sway side to side like a leaf in the breeze.

Step 3

Falling Leaf Pose

4 minutes

  • Demonstrate the 'falling leaf' pose: stand on one leg, arms outstretched, and gently sway.
  • Guide students to try the pose, focusing on balance and gentle movement.
  • Encourage them to imagine the colors and sounds of autumn leaves.

Step 4

Twisting Leaf Pose

3 minutes

  • Show students how to twist their bodies gently, like a leaf caught in a gentle breeze.
  • Have them sit cross-legged and twist their upper bodies from side to side.
  • Remind them to breathe deeply and move slowly.

Step 5

Closure

  • Gather students back in a circle.
  • Lead a short breathing exercise, imagining the calmness of a leaf resting on the ground.
  • Thank them for participating and ask how they felt during the yoga session.
