Step 1

Introduction to Assertiveness

  • Provide examples of assertive vs. passive or aggressive behavior.

Step 2

Charades Activity

10 mins

  • Divide the class into small groups.
  • Distribute scenario cards to each group.
  • Explain the rules: one student acts out the scenario while others guess the situation.
  • Encourage students to think about how they would respond assertively in each scenario.
  • Use a timer to keep each round to 1 minute.

Step 3

Debrief and Discussion

5 mins

  • Gather students and discuss the scenarios they acted out.
  • Ask students to share how they felt acting assertively.
  • Discuss any challenges they faced and how they overcame them.
  • Reinforce the importance of assertiveness in daily interactions.
