Students will use natural materials to create unique art pieces, learning about textures and patterns found in nature. This lesson helps students appreciate the beauty of nature and develop their creativity and observational skills.

Step 1

Introduction

  • Welcome students and introduce the topic of the lesson: Art from Nature.
  • Explain that they will be using natural materials to create unique art pieces.
  • Discuss the importance of observing and appreciating nature.

Step 2

Nature Walk

15 mins

  • Take students on a short nature walk around the school or club premises.
  • Encourage them to collect various natural materials like leaves, twigs, stones, etc.
  • Remind them to be respectful of nature and only collect items that are already on the ground.

Step 3

Art Creation

  • Return to the classroom and distribute paper, glue, markers/crayons, and scissors.
  • Instruct students to use the collected natural materials to create their art pieces.
  • Encourage them to think about the textures and patterns they observed in nature.
  • Provide assistance and guidance as needed.

Show and Tell

  • Allow students to share their art pieces with the class.
  • Encourage them to explain the materials they used and the textures and patterns they noticed.
