Step 1

Introduction

Step 2

Discussion

15 mins

Facilitate a discussion with the students using the Art and Activism discussion attachment. Encourage them to share their thoughts on how art can influence society and what messages they think are important today.

Step 3

Art Activity

30 mins

Distribute the art supplies and the Creating Art with a Message worksheet. Guide the students to brainstorm and create their own artwork that conveys a social or political message they are passionate about.

Sharing and Reflection

5 mins

Have the students share their artwork with the group and discuss the messages behind their creations. This is a time for reflection and positive feedback.
