"Hello, everyone, and welcome to our very first Anime Club session! I'm so excited to see you all here. This club is going to be a fantastic place for us to share our love for all things anime, discover new series, and most importantly, make some awesome new friends!"

"Before we dive into anything, let's get to know each other a little bit with a quick warm-up."

Warm-Up: My Anime Mood (5 minutes)

"For our warm-up today, I want each of you to share your name, and then tell us one anime character or series that matches your current mood. And don't forget to tell us why! For example, 'I'm feeling like Luffy from One Piece because I'm ready for adventure!' or 'I feel like a slice of life anime character because I'm looking forward to a relaxing club meeting.'"

"Who wants to start?"

(Allow each student to share. Facilitate a brief, positive discussion, drawing connections between their responses.)

"That was great! It's so cool to hear what everyone is into and how you're all feeling today."

Club Goals (5 minutes)

"So, what's our Anime Club all about? Well, it's a place for us to really dive deep into our passions. We'll be sharing our favorite shows, characters, and even some theories. But beyond that, it's also about building a community right here in this room. It's about finding those people who 'get' your love for that obscure anime, or who are just as excited as you are about the next big release."

"Today, our main goal is to connect and celebrate our shared love for anime. We're going to have a 'Friend Fiesta' of sorts, where we get to know each other better through our anime tastes!"

Activity: Anime Fan Favorites! (15 minutes)

"Alright, now for our main activity: 'Anime Fan Favorites!' I'm going to split you into small groups of about 3-4 students. Each group will get some paper or a section of the whiteboard and some markers."

"Your task is to work together in your groups to create three lists:

1. Your Top 3 Favorite Anime Series
2. Your Top 3 Favorite Anime Characters
3. One Anime the club should watch together, or that you'd recommend to everyone else!"

"The most important part is to discuss why you chose these! Talk about what you love about them, what makes them special to you. This is your chance to share your ultimate anime recommendations and find out what your new friends enjoy!"

"You'll have about 10 minutes to discuss and make your lists. After that, each group will share their favorites with the whole club. Go ahead and get into your groups!"

(Circulate among groups, facilitating discussion, offering suggestions if groups get stuck, and ensuring everyone participates. After 10 minutes, bring the groups back together.)

"Okay, everyone, let's bring it back together. Who wants to share their group's 'Anime Fan Favorites' first? Remember to tell us why you chose them!"

Cool-Down: One Word Wonder (5 minutes)

"Think about our first Anime Club session today. How do you feel about the club after what we've done? In just one word, describe your feeling about the Anime Club right now. It could be 'excited,' 'friendly,' 'fun,' 'curious,' whatever comes to mind."

"Let's go around one last time. What's your one word?"

Warm-Up: My Anime Mood

Welcome to Anime Club! To kick things off, let's share a bit about ourselves and our current anime vibes.

Instructions:

1. Introduce yourself: Tell us your name.
2. Pick an anime/character: Choose one anime series or character that matches your current mood.
3. Explain why: Briefly tell us why that anime or character reflects how you're feeling today.

Activity: Anime Fan Favorites!

It's time to share your ultimate anime passions and discover new favorites with your fellow club members!

Instructions:

1. Form small groups: Work in groups of 3-4 students.

2. Discuss and list: Together, discuss and create the following three lists. Make sure to talk about why you chose each item!
