Let's learn how to make our interactions with adults more positive and effective.

Welcome students and introduce the topic. Explain that today's lesson is about improving how they talk and listen to adults, which can make their daily lives much smoother.

What are Positive Interactions? / Ano ang Positibong Pakikipag-ugnayan?

Positive interactions with adults mean communicating in a way that is:

  • Respectful (Magalang)
  • Clear (Malinaw)
  • Constructive (Mabunga)

It’s about building good relationships!

Ask students what 'positive interaction' means to them. Guide them to understand it's about respectful, clear, and constructive communication.

Why are they important? / Bakit mahalaga?

Positive interactions can help you:

  • Be understood better (Mas maiintindihan ka)
  • Build trust (Magtatag ng tiwala)
  • Feel more confident (Mas maging kumpiyansa)
  • Get help when you need it (Makakuha ng tulong kapag kailangan mo)

Discuss why these interactions are crucial. Ask for student input on how positive interactions can help them.

Strategies for Success / Mga Estratehiya para Magtagumpay

  1. Active Listening (Aktibong Pakikinig):

    • Pay attention (Makinig nang mabuti)
    • Show you're listening (Ipakita na nakikinig ka)
    • Don't interrupt (Huwag sumabat)
  2. Respectful Language (Magalang na Pananalita):

    • Use 'please' and 'thank you' (Gumamit ng 'pakiusap' at 'salamat')
    • Speak in a calm tone (Magsalita sa mahinahong tono)

Introduce the first two strategies. Explain active listening (e.g., nodding, eye contact, not interrupting) and respectful language (e.g., 'please,' 'thank you,' appropriate tone).

Scenario 1: Asking for Help with Homework

You are struggling with a difficult homework assignment. You need to ask your teacher for help during their office hours or after class. How do you approach them respectfully and clearly explain your challenge?

Mga Tagubilin: Nahihirapan ka sa isang takdang-aralin. Kailangan mong humingi ng tulong sa iyong guro sa kanilang office hours o pagkatapos ng klase. Paano ka lalapit nang magalang at malinaw na ipapaliwanag ang iyong problema?








Scenario 2: Discussing a Disagreement with a Parent/Guardian

You and your parent/guardian have a different opinion about something important. You want to express your feelings and thoughts respectfully. How do you start the conversation and listen to their perspective?

Scenario 3: Receiving Feedback from a Coach/Mentor

Your coach or mentor is giving you feedback on your performance in an activity or project. Some of the feedback is difficult to hear. How do you listen actively and respond constructively?
