Slide Deck

5-Day Progress Tracker

• A simple checklist for Monday–Friday
• Record daily tasks and check them off when done
• Reflect on your week’s progress and set goals

Welcome students! Today we’ll learn how to use a 5-Day Progress Tracker to plan, monitor, and reflect on our work from Monday through Friday. Point out the slide title and body as you explain. After the slide, ask: “Why might tracking your work each day help you succeed?” and invite a few quick responses.

Tracker Overview

• Columns for each day of the week
• Space to list assignments or tasks
• Checkboxes to mark completion
• End-of-week reflection section

Explain each part of the tracker template. You’ll show a live or projected sample on the board next. Emphasize how to write clear task descriptions and use the checkboxes.

Modeling Tracker Use

• Review a completed example on screen (5-Day Progress Tracker Student Sheet)
• Talk through how you decided what to list and when to mark tasks done
• Show how to write one goal or reflection for the week

Display the sample filled-in tracker on the projector. Walk through Monday’s tasks, demonstrate checking off work, and fill in a brief reflection for Friday. Think aloud: "I’m prioritizing my math homework because it’s due tomorrow."

Guided Practice

  1. List this week’s tasks in each day’s column
  2. Check off items as you complete them during the week
  3. Write one goal or reflection for Friday

Distribute the student sheets now. Ask students to fill in their own assignments for each day. Circulate the room and help students clarify tasks or set a realistic goal for Friday.

Reflection & Next Steps

• Share one goal with the class
• Exit Ticket: “One way this tracker will help me is…”
• Use your tracker daily to stay organized

Invite 2–3 volunteers to share their weekly goal and how they plan to use their tracker. Then have students complete the exit ticket prompt. Collect exit tickets as they leave.
