In this 85-minute Tier 1 lesson, students aged 9-12 will explore healthy ways to understand and cope with grief—whether their own or a friend’s. By building empathy, sharing experiences, and practicing supportive communication, students will gain strategies to navigate difficult emotions and strengthen classroom community.
