Calm-Down Champions

In this 30-minute individual lesson, 1st graders will build self-awareness and emotional regulation by identifying feelings and practicing three calming strategies. Using verbal and visual reminders and role-play, students will learn to express emotions without aggression and engage in positive peer interactions. This lesson supports Tier 3 IEP goals for social-emotional growth.

A 20-minute one-on-one session for a 1st grade student to build a personalized toolkit of coping strategies for stress and worry. This Tier 3 lesson helps the student identify, assemble, and practice strategies that support self-regulation and emotional resilience.
