In this 40-minute detective-themed social-emotional lesson, 1st graders learn to read facial cues and body language to boost social awareness. Aligned with CASEL’s social awareness competencies, students will actively engage as “emotion detectives” in whole-class Tier 1 activities that build empathy, understanding, and connection.
